As you’d expect from a major bookmaker like Ladbrokes, their promotion for new customers is one of the best on the market. In fact, having assessed the offer and compared it to those available from other betting sites, we’ve given it a rating of 4.5 stars out of a maximum possible five.
One of the main reasons why we rate the Ladbrokes promotion so highly is thanks to its impressive overall generosity. The offer, after all, can provide a maximum bonus worth £20 for just a £5 trigger bet which is around double the match percentage offered on average by new customer offers from major bookmakers.
Unlike some higher value promotions, what’s more, Ladbrokes’ offer is not one which is built only for high rolling punters. That’s thanks to the fact that the bonus amount provided by the promotion is matched to a customer’s first bet.
An eligible new customer who bets just £5 with the bookmaker, therefore, will receive a £5 free bet bonus and so has no requirement to bet more than they would usually do so in order to trigger the promotion.
Qualifying bets which trigger the Ladbrokes offer, too, must be at odds of 1/2 or greater which is less restrictive than the evens requirement placed upon qualifying bets for many other promotions.

Personally would prefer a bigger offer but did this one yesterday and managed to get my free bets this morning. Will be using them on the footie tonight or on the weekend.

Nearly lost my bloody free bet from Ladbrokes. I didn’t realise that it expires after 7 days. Was saving it but managed to get it on just before I’d have lost it. Anyone who does the offer make sure you remember!

Sign up with a code and placed a bet for 5, but didn’t get any Free Bets, maybe it was because I also used Odds Booster, but nothing was clearly stated. Disappointed.

Hi Fenny – it is there in the terms and conditions. Point 20: This Sports Promotion cannot be used in conjunction with any other Ladbrokes.com Sports Promotion. I’m guessing because you used the odds boost the bonus didn’t trigger.
However I can see why you might have missed it as it’s right at the end of a very long list of T&C’s. Definitely try an email to support and explain it was a genuine error. I wouldn’t be a bit surprised if they sort something out for you. Got to their site, scroll to the bottom where it says contact us and try live chat or email support.
11 2 Odds 5 Bet Super Bowl
When using our 49’s lotto odds comparison table we display all of the odds as fractional odds. Fractional odds are the most commonly used odds format in the UK.
How Do Fractional Odds Work?
You may have seen fractional odds such as 2/1, 5/1, 11/2 or 8/3. This may look a bit like a GCSE maths question but they’re actually fairly easy to calculate. All you need to do is divide the number before the / by the number after the / and multiply it by your stake. For example, the odds above with a £1 stake would generate the following:
- 2/1 → 2 ÷ 1 = 2. 2 x £1 = £2 winnings
- 5/1 → 5 ÷ 1 = 5. 5 x £1 = £5 winnings
- 11/2 → 11 ÷ 2 = 5.5. 5.5 x £1 = £5.5 winnings
Winnings and Returns
In the example above, we have only included winnings. Or in other words, the amount of profit made. When you get paid by the bookmaker you also get your stake back. So, it would actually be more like this:
- 2/1 → 2 ÷ 1 = 2. 2 x £1 = £2 winnings + £1 stake returned
- 5/1 → 5 ÷ 1 = 5. 5 x £1 = £5 winnings + £1 stake returned
- 11/2 → 11 ÷ 2 = 5.5. 5.5 x £1 = £5.5 winnings + £1 stake returned
EVS
It can confuse users when they see EVS. This is short for Evens, or, in fractions 1/1. Let’s look at how this would work.
- EVS (1/1) → 1 ÷ 1 = 1 x £1 = £1 winnings + £1 stake returned
How Do Decimal Odds Work?
Some people prefer decimal odds to fractional odds, even though traditionally most UK bookmakers display odds as fractional.
When Decimal odds are multiplied by the stake that will show you the winnings and returns.
Fractional odds can be converted to Decimal odds quite easily.
For example, below are the same examples of Fractional Odds converted to decimals and showing the Total Returns
- 2/1 Fractional Odds = 3 Decimal Odds → 2 ÷ 1 = 2 2 + 1 = 3 3 x £1 = £3 Total Returns
- 5/1 Fractional Odds = 6 Decimal Odds → 5 ÷ 1 = 5 5 + 1 = 6 6 x £1 = £6 Total Returns
- 11/2 Fractional Odds = 6.5 Decimal Odds → 11 ÷ 2 = 5.5 5.5 + 1 = 6.5 6.5 x £1 = £6.50 Total Returns
- 11/2 Fractional Odds = 6.5 Decimal Odds → 11 ÷ 2 = 5.5 5.5 + 1 = 6.5 6.5 x £1 = £6.50 Total Returns
- Evens 1/1 Fractional Odds = 2 Decimal Odds → 1 ÷ 1 = 1 1 + 1 = 2 2 x £1 = £2 Total Returns
